Jeffrey Driver, J.D, health-care quality, has been designated a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), a personal membership group of the American Hospital Association. The award recognizes “individual achievement of professional excellence in health care risk management.”

Christiane Ferran, M.D., Ph.D., transplantation and nephrology, and her research team were selected from 103 international applicants to receive a Roche Organ Transplantation Research Foundation grant. The award seeks to improve transplant results “through scientifically excellent and innovative research approaches.”

Mary Beth Hamel, M.D., M.P.H., general medicine and primary care, was named a deputy editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, effective March 25. Hamel will focus primarily on Health Policy and Health Services Research, reviewing submissions and working with authors pre-publication.

Harold S. Solomon, M.D., medicine, has been designated a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension (ASH). The ASH Specialist Program recognizes physicians with expertise in the management of clinical hypertension and related diseases.
