In Memoriam...

With sadness, we report the recent deaths of two members of the BIDMC family:

Joselito L. "Joey" Rondolo, 41, was a registered nurse on CC7 for the past 2 1/2 years. He had also been employed at the Life Care Center of Attleboro and at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Born in Manila, Philippines, Mr. Rondolo was the son of Juanito and Emma (Loraez) Rondolo of Manila. He emigrated to Attleboro from the Philippines in 1987. Mr. Rondolo attended the La Salette Shrine and was a member of the Massachusetts Philipino Nurses Association, of which he had been an officer. His co-workers fondly recall his thoughtfulness and generosity to all. Besides his parents, he leaves a companion, Tonda Palmquist of Attleboro; his adopted American family, the Palmquists of Chestnut Street, Attleboro; two brothers, two sisters, and nieces and nephews, all in Manila. Funeral services were held in Attleboro, with burial in Manila.

Barbara Tierney served as an administrative assistant for Dr. Francis Wolfort's office in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1986 until Dr. Wolfort's retirement in December 2002. She continued her work for BIDMC in the Department of Surgery on the west campus in the Lowry Medical Office Building with Drs. Josef Fischer, Michael Cahalane, Donald Moorman and Jonathan Critchlow. Over the years Ms. Tierney touched many lives in the BIDMC family. She was a wonderful lady who will be sadly missed. She leaves four children, five grandchildren and eight nephews.
