One-on-One Counseling with Fidelity and TIAA-CREF
Do you know about the free-of-charge,
one-on-one consultation offered to BIDMC employees by our 401(k) and 403(b)
vendors - Fidelity Investments and TIAA-CREF? Some things you might discuss
are long-term investment strategies, the importance of protecting your
assets against inflation, or how to find the right investment allocation
for you. All appointments are in Stoneman 215 on the east campus.

Second Annual Red Sox 9-11 Blood Drive
On this national day of voluntary service, charity and compassion, the
American Red Cross, Boston Red Sox and BIDMC will collect lifesaving blood
for patients in need. Boston EMS, the Boston Fire Department, the Boston
Police Department and The Gillette Company are also partners for the event.
Donors
will receive a commemorative gift, tour Fenway Park, meet Boston Red Sox
management, and take a photo with mascots Wally the Green Monster
and Reddy the Blood Drop. Boston EMS, the Boston Fire Department,
and the Boston Police Department have all been invited to participate
in musical tributes in memory of those whose lives were lost on Sept.
11, 2001.

to donate. Walk-ins are also welcome! Free parking is available to all

American Heart Association 2004 Boston Heart Walk
MDC Lederman Field, Charles River Esplanade
BIDMC teams are walking as a tribute to Rick Sternberg, Honorary Company
Leader, who died on August 6, 2004. Rick was the 2003 Top Walker, a BIDMC
overseer, and an inspiration to all who knew him.
