Steven Fischer Named BIDMC’s
Chief Financial Officer

Steven P. Fischer, a financial management expert with 25 years of experience in the health care sector, has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer at BIDMC. He joins the medical center this month, where he will oversee financial management and planning for BIDMC and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham.

Fischer has served as senior vice president and CFO at Caritas Christi Health Care System since 1998. The health care system included six acute care hospitals, more than 400 employed physicians, a skilled nursing facility, home care agency, hospice and other related enterprises.
Fischer’s career includes service at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Milton Hospital and Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He is a graduate of Boston College who holds an M.S. Degree in Accountancy from Bentley College.
