Congratulations to these BIDMC
staff on their achievements:

Mark P. Callery, M.D., F.A.C.S., general surgery, was recently elected to the board of governors of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. SAGES is the world’s leading professional society representing more than 4,000 surgeons who use endoscopy and laparoscopy as integral parts of their practice. Callery also serves on the boards of the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA) and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), making him the only U.S. surgeon to hold leadership positions in the three main societies focused on gastrointestinal surgery. Callery, who joined the BIDMC staff in 2001, says these roles allow him to represent the nationally acknowledged excellence and growth of BIDMC’s surgery department."
