CLINICAL PATHOLOGY INTERPRETIVE SERVICES
When a clinical laboratory test requires interpretive services from a laboratory physician (for example, evaluation of complex red cell antibodies), or when a clinician requests such interpretive services, a written report will be issued. Results of transfusion reaction workups are also issued as written reports.
Medical Center interpretive reports appear in the computer in the Clinical Information System under the "Surgical/ Clinical Pathology" option. Hard copies of the report (on pink paper) are sent to the responsible staff physician.
