7:00 AM –3:30 PM Mon – Thurs after 3:00 PM tech will leave specimen at room temp at the Bone Marrow bench. Friday after 3:00 PM tech will place in designated Cytology refrigerator (see Saturday schedule). |
Saturday 7:00 AM –
12 Noon After 12 Noon Saturday, and on Sundays and Holidays, place specimen in designated Cytology refrigerator on the bottom left shelf. The designated refrigerator is adjacent to the Heme blood storage refrigerator in FN 305 STAT Lab. "CYTOLOGY SPECIMENS" is posted on the door. |

8:30 AM –5:30 PM After 5:30 PM leave specimen at room temp at the Bone Marrow bench for up to 16 hours. If 16 hour limit is to be exceeded follow Sunday/Holiday policy. |
Saturday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM After 5:00 PM on Saturday and on Sundays and Holidays, specimens may be left at room temp at the Bone Marrow bench for up to 16 hours. If 16 hour time limit is to be exceeded on weekends or holidays, and/or for all new acute leukemia patients, page the Brigham and Women’s Cytogenetics Fellow On Call at: 617-732-5700 page number 13125. This page is monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. |
