Introduction to the Community Care Alliance
Community Care Alliance (CCA), formed in 1997, is a network of community health centers (CHCs) affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), coming together to meet the health care needs of our community’s most vulnerable patients. CCA health centers provide a health safety net for those in need and ensure health care access for the disenfranchised, underinsured and uninsured by offering culturally responsive, community-based primary care and social services. The seven community health center members of CCA are Bowdoin Street, Dimock, Fenway, Joseph M. Smith, Outer Cape Health Services, Sidney Borum Jr., and South Cove. Bowdoin Street is operated and licensed by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), the remaining six are independently owned and licensed and are affiliates of BIDMC.
